Dear Parishioners,
The purpose of the Traveling Chalice Program is to encourage
families, at our Ave Maria Parish, to pray for and to
promote vocations as a family. Each week one family will
receive the travelling chalice/paten (a generous gift from
the Knights of Columbus, Council #8660). The family will
have the chalice for a week and are asked to place it in a
dignified and prominent place to remind them about praying
as a family for vocations. A prayer booklet will also be
given to the family and this will be theirs to keep, so that
they can continue praying for vocations well after their
assigned week. The chalice/paten will be returned to
the office of the parish liturgist before the Saturday 5
p.m. Mass.
We are hoping to have fifty-two families sign-up
in order to cover a full year. If your family is
interested in participating, please fill out the
slip below and return it to one of the members
of the parish’s Vocation Committee or contact
them via email.
